Stars' power play shines again in Game 4 of Western 1st Round

The Dallas Stars' power play came up big again in Game 4 of the Western Conference First Round on Sunday, scoring two goals in a 3-2 win against the Minnesota Wild to even the best-of-7 series.

The Stars are 7-for-16 (43.8 percent) with the man-advantage so far against the Wild. During the regular season, they were fifth in the NHL at 25.0 percent.Toronto Maple Leafs Pelipaita

"Power play has been good all year and it's been a weapon for us," Dallas coach Peter DeBoer said. "We stuck it in the net. We didn't make them pay for taking penalties last game (a 5-1 loss in Game 3 on Friday). We wanted to make sure we did tonight, and we did."

Dallas got some help early, though, from Jake Oettinger, who finished with 32 saves and kept the game scoreless through what looked like a sluggish start for the Stars.

Tyler Seguin then woke them up at 15:42 of the second period, scoring his first power-play goal of the game when the rebound of Roope Hintz's redirection deflected in off his skate.Halvat NHL Pelipaidat

"Opportunistic," Seguin said. "Just winning puck battles and making the right decisions. Obviously, we've capitalized when we needed to, and we're happy with a couple of them tonight."
